Participated in JICA event “Connecting with Ukraine – Strengthening and Co-creating Ukraine-Japan Partnership”(February 2024)
On February 19, the Japanese government invited Ukrainian government officials to the Japan-Ukraine Economic Recovery Promotion Conference, which was preceded by a three-day JICA event to connect Ukrainian people and various stakeholders supporting Ukraine. The City of Yokohama also participated in the event, which boasted approximately 1,200 visitors, exchanging information with the private sector and other organizations about the support it has provided to its sister city, Odesa. We hope that Yokohama’s knowledge of urban development and the technological capabilities of companies in Yokohama will be useful for the recovery and reconstruction of Odessa and other Ukrainian cities in the future.
