”Smile for Tomorrow and Peace in Ukraine”　exchange event

On Sunday, March 19, KDDI Corporation held an exchange event entitled “Smile for Tomorrow and Peace in Ukraine” for Yokohama residents and displaced Ukrainians in the City Hall atrium, co-sponsored by the City of Yokohama.

The event included a variety of contents for participants, such as virtual tours of Ukraine and Yokohama using Smart Glasses and XR technology, traditional Ukrainian craft workshops, a bazaar selling products related to Ukraine, traditional bandura and music performances by displaced Ukrainians, and more.

Mayor of Odesa Gennadiy Trukhanov, Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan H.E. Sergiy Korsunsky, and Mayor Yamanaka also came to observe the event. The well-attended event gave locals the chance to interact with displaced Ukrainians living in Yokohama and become more familiar with Ukraine.
