Emergency delivery of mobile water purifiers to Odesa (May 2022~)
Yokohama’s sister city Odesa is facing the risk of not being able to provide water to residents due to attacks on water treatment facilities by Russian invasion forces.
On May 13 in an online meeting with Mayor Yamanaka, Odesa’s Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov requested the delivery of mobile water purifiers from the City of Yokohama as emergency support, in order to provide the people of Odesa with clean drinking water even if water supply is disrupted.
